Education for Consumers

This service is free to consumers and ASCP membership. This easy-to-use tool helps consumers make choices that are geographically convenient from among thousands of ASCP practitioners. Customers who find their practitioners through the ASCP Online Referral Service can be confident their services will be conducted by a professional who has received proper training. Skin care practitioners are licensed in 49 states, along with Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. As a condition of membership, ABMP verifies the training and credentials of each one of its practitioners and requires them to follow the ASCP Code of Ethics.
