About Associated Skin Care Professionals

Associated Skin Care Professionals (ASCP) is the nation’s largest professional membership association serving and connecting skin care professionals, offering consumers a valuable online skin care referral service, and providing a resource explaining different treatments and their benefits. A primary ASCP product for professional skin care members is liability insurance coverage, but members also get connected to the profession through business support, continuing education, and through an advocacy voice with legislators and the media.

Headquartered in Evergreen, Colo., ASCP was created in January 2007 by the founders of a highly successful professional association for massage therapists, an organization with a 20-year track record serving wellness professionals. During the company’s growth, an increasing number of massage therapists obtained additional licensing as estheticians, so membership was extended to skin care practitioners in 1997. As skin care professionals have increasingly expressed a desire for an organization devoted solely to their needs, ASCP was formed.

ASCP is the only organization of its kind. While some companies insure skin care professionals as a sideline to their insurance business, ASCP works exclusively on behalf of practitioners in the skin care profession, providing industry-specific benefits no other insurer can provide. There is no like organization that participates in trade shows, has an active program in support of skin care schools and networks regularly on behalf of the profession in regulatory and practice matters. With all of this, ASCP offers a low-cost, high-value choice to its nearly 7,000 members.
