Who can join?
To join ASCP, if you practice in a state that regulates esthetics or skin care, you must have a valid, current license from that state. If you practice in a state that does not regulate esthetics or skin care, you must have a cosmetology license or certificate of skin care training from a state-approved program. What does it cost?
Annual membership at the Skin Care Professional level costs $259. Estheticians who also practice massage therapy can join both ASCP and ABMP for a single cost of $259 and receive benefits from both associations. For skin care students, two levels of student membership ($59 and $39) are available.

1. Professional liability insurance protects you for $2 million per occurrence and $6 million total per policy. This coverage is per member, per year. Brazilian waxing coverage is included!
