Associated Skin Care Professionals (ASCP) announced winners of the 10th annual ASCP Skin Deep Readers’ Choice Awards at Be+Well Las Vegas on June 27.
In a passing of the torch, 2025 ASCP Esty of the Year Bree Mesquit announced Armenthia Carr as 2026 ASCP Esty of the Year at the awards show in Omnia Nightclub. The awards ceremony, which was cohosted by ASCP and Be+Well, honored Carr along with the 2026 ASCP Industry Icons, Brand Influencers, and 23 other professional skin care categories.
As the 2026 ASCP Esty of the Year, Carr gave an acceptance speech, sharing her story and inspiring a room filled with hundreds of beauty professionals.
“To the new beauty professional wondering if you are good enough: Keep going. To the seasoned professional wondering what’s next: Keep evolving. To the educator, the solo esthetician, the spa owner, the student, and the dreamer: Your work matters,” Carr told the room.
In an exclusive article with ASCP Skin Deep, Carr shared her career story as a skin care professional and educator with over 15 years of experience in the industry. She’s well known for educating her peers on social media (@ur.skin.therapist), and she specializes in treating skin of color at her sister’s med spa, Lotus Luxe Med Spa, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
“This award is not just a celebration of me,” Carr said. “It is a celebration of every person who has ever dared to build something from the ground up, every person who chose purpose over fear, and every person who kept going when nobody saw the sacrifice.”
