Esthetician licensure in the state of Illinois is regulated by the Illinois Barber, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Hair Braiding, and Nail Technology Board. To become a licensed skin care professional, Illinois requires completion of a licensed esthetics program consisting of 750 hours of training and successfully passing the written and practical examinations for esthetician licensure.
