ASCP Skin Care School Forum—GAME CHANGERS

GAME CHANGERS—BIG DECISIONS IN THE LIFE CYCLE OF YOUR SCHOOL

Owning a beauty school requires strategy and planning. Not only to get started, but to stay relevant and profitable. Some decisions are obvious, while others are often not considered or prepared for because they are unknown until they are necessary. This session will examine the big decisions, such as expanding to a second location, closing a location, selling a school.

To discuss these topics, we will be joined by a panel of expert school owners who have tackled these decisions. We are excited to have Jessica Fialkovich start us off and join in the discussion.

Jessica is president of Transworld Business Advisors. As a mergers and acquisitions expert and speaker, Jessica Fialkovich helps small business owners with under $10 million in revenue who desire to build a legacy. She provides insights and guidance around the overwhelming world of buying and selling a business, offering peace of mind throughout the decision-making process. Fialkovich brings 10 years of thought leadership within small business M&A and has personally bought and sold multiple companies.

Other panel members include:

Annette Hanson is the founder of Atelier Esthétique Institute of Esthetics, a New York State licensing esthetics school, postgraduate facility, and the first accredited internationally recognized US member of the International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC).

Frank Trieu is the owner and VP of business development & industry relations, director of Title IX Compliance, and compliance coordinator at Evergreen Beauty Colleges in Washington state. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS).

Mary Ronnow is the founder and owner at The Skin Institute Internationale' in Honolulu, Hawaii, and The Skin Institute in St. George, Utah. She is a licensed esthetics instructor and master esthetician.
