There is currently one vacancy on the Washington Cosmetology, Barbering, Esthetics, Manicuring and Hair Design Advisory Board. The vacant seat is for an esthetician. Applicants must be currently practicing licensees who have been engaged in the practice of esthetics for at least three years.
If you are interested in serving on the Advisory Board and believe you meet the qualifications, please complete the application form and email it along with all other required documents to PLSSUnit@dol.wa.gov before the December 18, 2020, deadline.
The board has varied responsibilities, including analyzing existing policies, programs, and services to make recommendations for changes in standards; communicating community opinions and needs to agencies, the legislature, and the governor; and providing the public with information on department and state policies, programs, and budgets. The Advisory Board meets every other month. The Board has not announced the date of the next meeting.
